How we look after your details
SeaView Cabins is a small, family-run place. We only ask for what we need to take your booking and look after your stay, and we handle it as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) requires.
Last updated 30 October 2026.
Who we are
SeaView Cabins, Barangay Laois, Labrador, Pangasinan, Philippines, is responsible for your personal information. Our Data Protection Officer is the owner, who you can reach at seasidecabinsinfo@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, email address, mobile number and country; your dates, the number of guests, whether children or infants are coming, any pets, and any notes you add.
- When you pay: how you paid (GCash or bank transfer), the transaction reference number, and the screenshot or photo of your receipt.
- During your stay: the security deposit, any charges (for example damage, or pets that weren't declared) and any refunds. Walk-in guests may sign a paper copy of our Policies and Terms of Stay.
- If you contact us by email or Messenger: what you send us.
We don't ask for ID numbers, card numbers or bank passwords, and we never will.
Why we use it
- To hold your dates, check your payment and confirm your booking.
- To send you emails about your booking: confirmation, changes, cancellations and refunds.
- To prepare the cabins for the right number of guests and pets, and to contact you about your arrival.
- To handle the security deposit, charges and refunds under our Policies and Terms of Stay.
- To keep the business and tax records the law requires.
We use your details to carry out your booking, which you ask us to do when you book, and to meet our legal obligations. We don't send marketing emails, we don't sell your details, and we don't use them for advertising.
Who else handles it
A few services run the website for us. They handle your details only to provide that service:
- Supabase stores our booking records and receipt photos (servers in Seoul, South Korea).
- Resend sends our booking emails (United States).
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
Your payment itself is handled by GCash or your bank, under their own privacy policies. If you message us on Messenger or open our location in Google Maps, Meta and Google's own policies apply. We only share your details with anyone else when the law requires it.
The guest pages of this website don't use cookies for tracking or advertising.
How long we keep it
- Receipt photos: deleted automatically 90 days after your check-out, or 90 days after a booking is cancelled or expires. We keep the payment record itself (method, amount and reference number).
- Booking, payment and refund records: kept for 5 years after the deadline of the tax return they belong to, as Philippine tax rules require, then deleted.
- Signed paper copies of our Policies: kept in a locked place for the same period.
Only the owner and the staff who run the cabins can see booking records, and they sign in with their own accounts.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- be told how your personal information is used (this notice);
- see the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it's wrong or out of date;
- object to how we use it, or ask us to delete or block it (we may need to keep some records the law requires);
- be compensated for damage caused by misuse of your information;
- complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
To use any of these rights, email seasidecabinsinfo@gmail.com with your booking reference, and we'll reply as soon as we can. If anything goes wrong with your information, we'll tell you and, where the law requires, the National Privacy Commission.
We may update this notice; the date at the top shows the latest version. Our Policies and Terms of Stay, shown when you book, cover cancellations, payments and house rules.
